Hotel Danieli- Venice, Italy

One of my favorite parts about traveling, especially internationally, is getting to see all of the beautiful, unique hotels around the world. While I prefer to stay in a somewhat Americanized hotel (think down pillows & king beds), I love the ones that really emphasize local architecture, historic charm & natural beauty.

I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Italy this past April. We went to Sicily, Florence & Venice which was of course phenomenal. My favorite hotel we stayed in- and one of the most beautiful I’ve stayed in to date- was the Hotel Daniele in Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal. It was spectacular to say the least. The sky high ceilings, the lush flowers, and a-m-a-z-i-n-g rooftop view…the list goes on and on. Oh and did I mention that George Clooney was spotted here during his wedding week? Here’s us on the big day:

Haha, I wish!

While the pictures don’t even do this place justice, hopefully you can imagine the  smell of fresh pizza, the crisp spring air & the beautiful Italian spoken all around….add it to your travel list!

how gorgeous are the below photos of the lobby? No joke, it was insane…

oh, and you arrive via boat, of course!

This was a standard bathroom- straight marble…

And a “basic” bedroom…

We sat at this exact table. One of the best views ever!

feels so regal, no?!

If this doesn’t make you want to go to Italy, I don’t know what will!

Miss you already, George! 😉
