Spotlight On: Thanksgiving Recipes

Ahhhh how is Thanksgiving less than 24 hours away?!  In case you’ve procrastinated a bit too much or need a last minute recipe to bring to your gathering, no worries- I’ve got you covered. here are 5 solid, easy Thanksgiving recipes that are sure to please a crowd. Now get to cooking!

1. Cornbread Stuffing: my grandma makes this (her recipe is secret, of course) every year. Incredible.

2. Sweet Potato Casserole: always a winner. The more marshmallows, the better!

3. Garlic Mashed Potatoes:  I’m making a slow cooker version (found here):

4. Green Bean Casserole: say what you will, but this always tastes delicious & is a crowd pleaser:

5. Pecan Pie: ahhh, a Southern favorite. And one of my specialties. Just don’t pay attention to all of the sugar & corn syrup that go into it…serve it warm & top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You’re welcome.

Now excuse me while I go prep my veggies, make mashed potatoes, bake an apple pie & get my outfit ready for my annual Thanksgiving morning turkey trot. When you run on Thanksgiving morning, 2nds are fine by me!
