Spotlight on: Cookie Swap Recipes

T-15 days til Christmas! I’ve already got 2 cookie swaps on the calendar and so I’ve been pinning left & right to find the perfect recipe! Below are some of the top contenders I’ve found so far. Even if you’re not going to an official swap, these recipes would be perfect to package up cute and give to a neighbor, coworker, your kid’s teacher, or anyone that you want to give a personal, homemade gift to.

Now get to baking!

I made these oreo cookie balls last year and they were a hit! Who doesn’t love oreos?! Here is a mint version, or a snowman version if you’re feeling extra crafty.

I’ll be making a bark this year, but I can’t decide between the salted caramel, the mint oreo, or the oreo/pretzel/m&m bark this year (are we sensing an oreo theme?!)

Of course, who doesn’t love a warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie? Here are a few twists on the classic: s’mores stuffed chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, cookies & cream cookies and mint chip chocolate cookies. (<– I want to make all of these & have a taste test!)

I LOVE the idea of these “gifts in a jar”- they transport well, they’re easy, and you can buy the ingredients in bulk to save $$ if you’ve got a lot of gifts to give. Favorites include these s’mores in a jar, chocolate nut cookies in a jar, fudgy snack cakes in a jar, and this hot chocolate in a jar.

*FYI: these are also great gifts for wedding/baby showers!

And if you’re the lucky one hosting the cookie swap, check out these helpful guides (here and here) to host a flawless event!
