Thanksgiving Tablescape Inspiration

Can y’all even believe that Thanksgiving is next week? Insane! Given all that we have going on right now (moving, new job for T, etc) we are pleased to be attending a Thanksgiving feast at our dear friends’ home in Newport, Rhode Island. Hopefully we will have a large dining room of our own in upcoming years and be able to host our own Thanksgiving day celebration for family & friends. So for my future reference, and for all of you wonderful host expecting a crowd, I’ve put together some tablescape inspiration for you:

So many pretty options to be inspired from! I’ve put together a mock table setting myself and hopefully it will inspire you even more! If I were hosting this year, here’s what my table would look a little something like:

Easter Tablescape Inspiration

Happy Thursday y’all….if your week has been like mine, you are counting down the seconds until the weekend is here! We quickly went from no Easter plans to hosting dinner for 6 (maybe 8) overnight, so my mind is going into planning mode!

So, what’s on our menu?

Appetizers & Nibbles:

Deviled eggs & Mediterranean platter

Jelly beans & Jordan almonds

Main Menu:

Baked ham

Chilled asparagus,  roasted brussel sprouts & scalloped red potatoes

Spinach, fruit, walnut & goat cheese salad

Homemade brownies, coconut macaroons & strawberry shortcake

Yummy, right? We’re in charge of the ham, salad, apps & desserts. Our guests will be bringing sides and of course, lots of wine!

One of my favorite parts about hosting is of course the table setting…however, living in a small 900sq ft apartment with no dining table proves to be a challenge. Luckily we have a 6′ folding table that fits directly over our coffee table so we’ll just move the sofa out back & place some chairs around it. Hey, you gotta work with what you have!

Green & White Wedding Tablescape Ideas

For all of you not in the Northeast, I’m jealous. We are in the midst of a blizzard, which hasn’t fully hit yet but we’re in “preparation” mode, anticipating 12″-18″.

So. Over. The. Snow.

That being said, I’m taking full advantage of this snow day and doing some wedding planning (eek!). I’ve been cautious to keep the wedding posts to a minimum because (a) this is a design/travel blog, not a wedding blog and (b) I want the big day to be a surprise! I’ve got a fabulous event design team I’ve hired (shout out to BellWether Design), incredible vendors & want to let the pros do their job. I’ll share everything after the big day, once we have our professional pics!

One thing I am l-o-v-i-n-g for weddings and that I am hoping to stay involved in is the tablescape! I just love the white & green & rustic + classic look that comes with this style. Here are  ton of examples of what I’m loving.

Let’s take a vote! Which is your favorite?!

Thanksgiving Tablescape 2016

Believe it or now, Thanksgiving is only 17 days away! If you haven’t started thinking about your plans, now is the time. And if you’re hosting, now is also the time to have your tablescape in mind. I like to have an idea of the color scheme, style & feel that I want so that I can scoop up pieces whenever when I’m shopping around. While I’m not hosting a huge gathering, my parents are coming up the weekend prior so we will be celebrating the 4 of us! Hey, any excuse to host #amiright?!

{Inspiration 1,2,3,4}

As usual, I’m sticking with a mainly neutral color scheme- mainly ivory, gold, green and hints of purple. I’ll have a variety of textures and materials, using ceramic white, clear glass & wood. Here’s a vision board I’ve put together of a classic & easy tablescape. I’ll likely do something very similar:
